Anne Stanner’s two life-size cement torso sculptures, Adam and Eve, are on view at a sculpture park on Route 49A (Galli-Curci Road), near the Bellayre Ski Center, Highmount, NY, and will remain there through October 31, 2016. The sculpture park is curated by Dave Channon. Stanner’s sculpture Sentinel, an assemblage of found metal objects, is on view at the High Falls Emporium Sculpture Garden (Old Route 113, High Falls, NY). An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, May 21, 2016, 2:30–7:00 p.m. The sculpture will remain there through November 2016. Stanner is also organizing Go Figure, an exhibit of edgy, expressive, and non-academic figurative sculpture in all media, that will run June 25–July 31, 2016, at Governors Island, Nolan Park area, Building 19A. David C. Terry, an independent curator and Director of Exhibits and Grants at the New York Foundation for the Arts, will jury entries. The submission deadline is Friday, May 27.
