“Fabrication”: Deborah Winiarski’s Latest Post for ProWax Journal

“During the past century,” writes Deborah Winiarski, “artists working with fiber have pushed the boundaries of what can be considered a textile, as well as how textiles are represented within the context of contemporary painting and sculpture – challenging long held distinctions between textile, craft, and fine art.” In her latest post for ProWax Journal, “Fabrication[1],” Winiarski surveys the work of eight artists (including herself) who combine encaustic with a diverse range of materials.
