Jerry Weiss on Sargent’s Mrs. Carl Meyer and Her Children

For his most recent “Master Class” column in The Artist’s Magazine[1], Jerry Weiss writes about John Singer Sargent’s portrait of Mrs. Carl Meyer and Her Children. The portrait was the subject of a recent exhibition at the Jewish Museum[2]. You can read here[3] Weiss’s article, “A Picture of Knock-Down Insolence,” which appears January/February 2017 issue.
