Knox Martin’s Woman Looking, now on view at FreedmanArt[1], is one of his three paintings in Art in the Making: Refocused, a celebration of American art education, which continues through October 3, 2015. Two more of Martin’s paintings are included in the similarly-titled offshoot exhibition Art in the Making: A New Adaptation[2], now on view at the Luther W. Brady Art Gallery at The George Washington University (Washington, DC). This second venue continues the celebration of the concurrent anniversaries of the Art Students League of New York (140 years) and Pratt Institute (125 years), with added work from artists associated with the Corcoran School of Art[3]. The show continues through July 17, 2015.
