Jerry Weiss on Mary Cassatt

Read about how Mary Cassatt painted an ungainly subject as a retort to Edgar Degas in “A Matter of Style” by Jerry Weiss[1] in the July/August issue of The Artist’s Magazine [1]. So impressed was Degas by Cassatt’s painting, he traded a pastel for it and displayed it in his home thereafter.
