Robert Neffson’s The Metropolitan will be on view as part of From Lens to Eye to Hand: Photorealism 1969 to Today, opening at the Parrish Art Museum (Water Mill, NY) on August 6, 2017. This survey of seventy-three works suggests that photorealism, as a movement, is more than straightforward traditional representation and remains “undiluted and conceptually coherent and consistently compelling.” Through January 21, 2018. Neffson’s work is also included in Photorealism: 50 Years of Hyperrealistic Painting at the Tampa Museum of Art (Tampa, FL), July 13 through October 22, 2017.
