[1]Transformation is a summer-long event at Governors Island organized by the Sculptors Guild [2]. Thirty-eight sculptors are exhibiting work in five themed shows spread over five galleries at Nolan Park’s Building 19. There’s also a new members gallery, outdoor works, and an artist residency. Special events are scheduled throughout the summer: an opening reception (June 7), a catalogue release (July 12), an artists’ talk (August 10), and a closing reception (September 28). On view are two bronzes by Richard Barnet, who was recently elected to the Sculptors Guild. Through September 28, 2014.
